Sunny Savla is the founder and lead instructor at The Risk Insider, bringing a unique blend of academic excellence and real-world experience to the classroom. Having cleared all actuarial exams by the age of 22, he holds the distinction of being India’s Youngest Qualified Actuary, in addition to being a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).

Sunny began his career with Deloitte, working with top Indian banks such as HDFC, ICICI, SBI, and IndusInd Bank, as well as global institutions like Credit Suisse and several Middle Eastern clients. Currently, he is with PwC, where he continues to work with international banks including Morgan Stanley and Nomura on projects around FRTB and model validation.

His expertise spans the Three Lines of Defence framework — covering model development, validation, and internal audit across domains like:

  • Market Risk (FRTB, derivative pricing & valuation),

  • Counterparty Credit Risk,

  • Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB),

  • Quantitative Data Analytics.

Sunny brings hands-on knowledge of industry-standard tools including Python, R, SQL, VBA, Bloomberg, and Murex, empowering students with the practical skills required to excel in quant and risk careers.
